What to Expect After a Facial
You should know that facial treatments don’t deliver immediate results. Right after your treatment, you’ll see some redness. That’s completely normal, and it should disappear within 24 hours. If you need a facial before an important event, we advise that you schedule it at least a week in advance. If your skin’s prone to breakouts, it could take a few days after your treatment until you see a noticeable difference. Your skin needs time to heal from exfoliating and cleansing, so just be patient.

Please Note: Both male and female therapists provide treatments at Sol Spa Vaucluse, please specify at the time of booking if you wish to request a particular therapist. Advance bookings are highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your booking. Credit Card payment is required for bookings over $400.
For Group Bookings a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to your treatment or a 50% fee applies. Gift Vouchers are non-refundable.

Which massage is right for me?
This will depend on what your body needs. Our massage therapists are trained to use different techniques including Swedish, Acupressure and Remedial, in order to provide a tailored experience for each person. If you’re not sure what you need, book in for our Sol Spa Signature Body Massage which is a true integration of massage techniques. Or you’re welcome to discuss with your therapist at the start of your appointment, the best technique for you and your body.
Do I have to take my clothes off for my massage?
Your comfort is our priority. During treatments our therapists will provide you with the appropriate garments to protect your privacy such as single-use underwear or robes. We also invite you to wear your own undergarments if that is your preference. For any special requests or requirements, please speak to your assigned therapist.
What happens during a full body massage?
You will be invited to enjoy a complimentary cup of organic herbal tea in our relaxation lounge before easing into your treatment. Your therapist will begin by asking you a few questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if there are any conditions needing to be addressed, and determine what type of massage is appropriate for you. Be sure to mention any allergies or health concerns ahead of your treatment to ensure your massage is tailored to suit you.
Your therapist will then step out of the room allowing you to make yourself comfortable, position yourself under the sheet or towels provided, relax and enjoy your massage.
What does a facial do for the skin?
Different types of facial treatments do different things. Medi-facials can treat a variety of skin conditions. Luxe facials improve your skin’s elasticity and firmness. But, regardless of the type of treatment, every facial will nourish, hydrate, and heal your skin, helping it achieve a better balance.
What are the best facial treatments?
There isn’t a single type of facial that can be deemed best for all. Different skin types have different needs. While Medi-facials might be best for some, Luxe Facials or Organic facials would work better for others. Consult our experienced aestheticians to find the best facial treatment for you.
Are there facials for men?
All facial treatments are suitable for both men and women. However, men tend to have their own unique needs and skin issues that would make some treatments more suitable than others. Should I shower before a massage?
Showering prior to your treatment is advised. It’s a good idea to rinse off chlorine, perspiration or environmental pollutants before your massage to avoid it being rubbed into your skin – and to allow for a more pleasant experience for your therapist.
How often should I have a massage?
This really comes down to how you feel in your body. Some people enjoy a weekly massage simply to help them relax, others may require frequent visits to help them with a particular condition. After your first session, you can talk to your massage therapist about the best course of action for you and your body.
What is included in the session time?
Within your booked session time, we allow plenty of time for you to fully enjoy your massage, time for you to dress and undress and time to communicate with the therapist to make your massage truly customized. Medi-facials can help you treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne, acne scars, and rosacea. However, you must get the right type of treatment for your needs. Contact Sol Spa to schedule an appointment, and our aesthetician will examine your skin and suggest the best facial for you.
How long does a facial last?
At Spa Sol, your facial treatment can last between 40 minutes and one hour, depending on the treatment you choose. Make sure to come to your appointment a few minutes in advance. If you’re late, your appointment won’t be extended.
